If you are an experienced skydiver looking to take your jumping higher, look no further. SkyDance SkyDiving offers HALO training and jumps for the first time and repeat HALO skydivers. HALO jumps are truly spectacular. The combination of extended freefall, special equipment, and extreme exposure to the elements offers an unforgettable experience that is both challenging and rewarding.

SkyDance SkyDiving offers a 3-4 day HALO course twice a year, typically in the spring and fall. The class involves a review of the physiology of HALO jumping as well as familiarization and fitting of special O2 equipment. This is followed by two practice jumps from 13,000’ while using the HALO equipment and techniques. The practice jumps are required for all HALO participants, experienced and novice.  Then early on the following mornings, loads will be flown up to 28,000-30,000’ AMSL!  While the class takes 2-3 days, we generally schedule a 4 day block in case of weather.

You must meet the following prerequisites to sign up for an Experienced HALO skydive:

• Hold a valid USPA C license or foreign equivalent.
• Hold a valid FAA class 3 medical certificate or equivalent.
• Have no facial hair other than a mustache in order for the oxygen mask to properly seal.
• Have an airworthy, safe rig with an AAD installed.

SkyDance SkyDiving will provide all specialized HALO equipment including O2, mask, helmet, goggles, altimeter, and balaclava. You must provide your own parachute system (see above) warm clothing, closed shoes/boots, jumpsuit, and gloves.

When is the Next Course?

Our next Experienced HALO Jump Course is on May 10-13, 2024!  Exit altitude will be 28,000-30,000ft AMSL!  Signups are now open.

How much does it cost?

The Experienced HALO Jump Course costs $1300.  The 2-3 day course cost includes 2 practice jumps, one HALO jump, specialty equipment rental, & T-shirt.  

Can I reserve a slot for a HALO Jump?

Reservations are required and must be paid in full ahead of time.  Your reservation can be transferred to another jumper to take your place in this specific event but is not refundable in any way and cannot be credited for future use.  Quite simply, this event has limited slots, and high upfront costs to organize. A non-refundable $500 deposit will be required at booking.  The remaining balance is due on April 15, 2024.

The jumping portion of the course takes 2 days, however we have scheduled for a 4 day event in case of weather.  Please do not sign up for the course unless you will personally commit to being available during this 4 day period.  Not everyone will jump on the same day.  We do not guarantee your jump day.  Tandems will have priority.  We have had jumpers in the past opt to work remotely at the dropzone during the downtimes of their course.
