How old do I have to be to skydive?
You must be 18 years or older in order to skydive.
Is there a weight limit?
Yes, our weight limit is 250 lbs for Tandem Students. There is a $20 surcharge for Tandem Students over 220 lbs. We can take students heavier than 250 lbs on Accelerated Freefall (AFF) jumps on a case by case basis.
What do I need to bring?
Make sure you bring a valid photo ID. Goggles, altimeter, and jumpsuit will be provided to you.
What should I wear?
Just wear loose comfortable clothing appropriate to the weather and a pair of lace up sneakers.
How long is this going to take?
Skydiving is a weather permitting sport and there’s many variables to consider so we ask that you plan to spend a minimum of 4 hours at the drop zone.
Can I breathe during my skydive?
You totally can! Sometimes people hold their breath when they’re scared so if you feel like you can’t breathe just remember to scream!
Can I bring my own GoPro?
For your safety and the safety of your Instructor, bringing along a GoPro is not allowed. Jumpers are required to complete a minimum of 200 skydives and hold a C-License before they are able to jump with a camera.
What happens if the weather is bad?
In case the weather is not conducive to skydiving we will offer you a rain check for a later day.
Can I wear glasses on my skydive?
Yes, we have goggles that will fit over your glasses.
Do I have to do a Tandem as my first skydive?
No, you can start your Accelerated Free Fall training without having done a Tandem.
How many people fit in the airplane?
Our flagship Super Cessna Caravan fits 20 Jumpers! The Pilatus Porter fits 9 jumpers and the C-172 fits 3 jumpers. We can accommodate groups of all sizes!
Can we share a videographer?
Videographers are only able to film one skydiver in freefall at a time but they can get footage of your group on the ground and in the plane.
Can my family come and watch?
Yes! SkyDance has extensive facilities for your spectators, including an open air cafe right across the landing area.
What happens if my parachute doesn’t open?
SkyDance only uses modern, new parachuting equipment with the latest safety features. In fact, other dropzones are buying our old gear while we replace it with the latest and greatest. In the rare case of a main parachute malfunction, there is a backup reserve parachute. This parachute is inspected and packed according to FAA standards by our certified parachute riggers in Action Air Parachutes.
Do you have any merchandise?
Yes! Action Air Parachutes, our on site gear shop, has gifts & apparel for everyone in your group! Many of our tandem packages include a $10 discount coupon to use in-store!
Can I bring my dog?
SkyDance SkyDiving is pet friendly but there is a strict leash law. All dogs must be accompanied by their owners at all times. We also have a dog park available for your dog to roam while you jump. Please fill out a dog park waiver in manifest first.
